Patrol Division

The uniform Patrol Division consists of 25 officers, including 20 police officers and 5 police lieutenants who are full-time Civil Service employees.

The Patrol Division is supplemented by up to 5 part-time police officers.

Patrol is the primary activity of the Department’s uniformed force. Its’ objectives are equivalent to the total police responsibility and include:

• Prevention and detection of crime
• Protection of life and property
• Apprehension of offenders
• Control of traffic
